Dragonfly Class – Day 3 Fantastic Futures Week
Our day began by logging onto an online chat room where we were able to ask questions to 13 different scientists. We asked them about their specialism and how long it took them to become a scientist. We also asked what inspired them and what they enjoy most about being a scientist.
After lunch, we then met some people from the fire service. They taught us all about the different roles within the fire service and showed us some exciting equipment which they use on a daily basis. We even tried on some fire protective clothing and an oxygen mask which could be used in the case of a large fire.
Finally, we met an astronomer and talked all about what it would be like to visit space! We were all very inspired and enjoyed watching clips of rockets travelling into space.
